Classic CD Rudder Block And Mid-Pin

Not a true Mid Pin Rudder! We might call this a medium-long pin. Pin is 2 9/16 inches long from bottom of block.

Best used as a replacement part for the central block and pin on a Classic Current Designs brand rudder assembly, circa year 2000, give or take a few years. This is know to fit the Current Designs Storm (plastic hull) sea kayak.

Some classic Current Designs plastic hull kayaks may take a Short Pin rudder assembly.

Inspect your rudder head and replace the Rudder Rope Guide as needed.

Overall length, including pin, is 3 7/16 inches long. Pin is 3/8 inch diameter, 2 9/16 inches exposed. Block is 5/8 inches thick where screws pass through. The block footprint base is 2 inches wide, 2 1/4 front to back. There are three screw holes in a line and a slot for the lifting rope machined into the block. You will have to disassemble your rudder and reassemble it without instructions, but it is easy to do.

This is a good option to restore some, but not all, Classic Current Designs rudder assemblies. This is not a match to the FeatherCraft Rudder Block and Pin. RBAP MPRDR
