Long Pin. Best used as a replacement part for the central block and pin in a Classic Old Town brand rudder assembly, circa year 2000, give or take a few years. Only for kayaks that are outfitted with a Long Pin Rudder. See the Smart Track Video to shed some light on the matter. It may be necessary to ream the hole the pin inserts into by a tiny bit.
Inspect your rudder head and replace the Rudder Rope Guide as needed.
Overall length, including pin, is 4 3/4 inches long. Pin is 3/8 inch diameter, 3 1/2 inches exposed. Block is 5/8 inches thick where screws pass through. There are three screw holes in a line and a slot for the lifting rope machined into the block. You will have to disassemble your rudder and reassemble it without instructions, but it is easy to do.
This is a good option is to restore some, but not all, Long Pin style rudder assemblies. This is not a match to the FeatherCraft, Dagger or Perception Rudder Block and Pin. RBAP LPRDR
