Drifter Booster Seat

Designed as a booster to raise the paddler out of the puddle in the bottom of a sit-on-top kayak seat. Originally made for the Ocean Kayak Drifter but fits other sit-on-top kayak models as well. The seat pad is 14 wide, 12.5 inches from front to back, 3.5 inches thick, comfortable, but FIRM. The extra thick pad is made with many layers of foam sheets, so it can bend and conform to concave bucket seats. Seat back is 12 high by 22 inches wide. Important backrest info for older kayaks: The rear straps of this seat can be converted with plastic buckles to fit older Ocean Kayak models made in the 1990s and before 2005. It is a very simple procedure. All you need are some 1.5-inch side release buckles to replace the brass clips. Alternatively you can add strap eyes behind your seat and use the brass snaps that are common on all modern sit-on-top kayak seats.
