Phase 3 AirPro Back Band Kit

For sit-in-side kayaks. Transform your recreational seat back to sea touring back band! Best used as an upgrade kit, or use to replace a touring style backband common in sea kayaks by Wilderness Systems, Dagger and Perception, for both white water kayaks and touring kayaks. The Air Pro Back Band replaces the Phase 3 XP Back Band (originally part of the F.A.T. outfitting system. old part numbers 8023007, 8023548) and is compatible with Perception and Dagger Zone EXP outfitting, touring and white water. This kit can be used to convert a Phase 3 recreational seat back, old or new, into a sea touring style back support in about 10-20 minutes. This kit is quite generic and can be applied to nearly any sit-in-side kayak. See the Phase 3 Seat Video to get some basic information on how to perform this operation. Part 1 shows retrofit of the Phase 3 day touring seat back into a Phase 3XP sea touring back band. Part 2 shows the reassemble of the Phase 3 day touring seat including details on the spring and plunger, T-grip, cord lock and seat back riser. Part 3 shows the addition of the Hip Pad Kit.

The anatomically molded construction of mesh fabric material covering a honeycomb vented ergonomic 3D foam allows for greater airflow to keep your back cool and dry. The Phase3 Air Pro Back Band is a lumbar supporting back support that can improve comfort and performance for sea touring kayakers. Comes with instructions. 15.25 x 6.25 inches.

Other parts will be needed to install this on older model kayaks previously outfitted with the Phase 3 XP Back Band (shown to left). These parts also needed for custom install. Suggested parts are: Some 1 inch tri-glides (need only two), Six feet of 1 inch wide webbing strap, One 3/4 inch tri-glide, One 3/4 inch side release buckle and Two feet of 3/4 inch wide webbing strap.
