Replacement Rudder Cables

Two 12 foot long stainless steel 1/16 in. diameter cables with eyelets 3/16 in dia., with 4 swages. This kit contains aircraft quality, stainless steel, rudder cables long enough to be used on virtually all kayaks brands. Instructions are included. Each cable has one eyelet (3/16 dia.). Tools needed: Rudder Cable Crimper Cutter Tool, or… Heavy-duty wire cutters and a large size Vice Grips will do just fine. Same Cable as Harmony part number 9820091.

Some Wilderness Systems kayaks (and other brands) use a double eyelet cable (eyes on each end). This cannot be duplicated by the consumer (special tool and parts needed). Simply use the Thimble and Shackle Set and connect the thimbles and shackles on the stern end of the cable to the rudder wings.

Some surf skis use Stainless Steel Thimbles and/or Rudder Shackles on both ends. This kit, along with some tools, can be handy in an expedition repair kit. If out of stock substitute with the Brand Name Harmony Rudder Cable Kit or with Rudder Cable Sold by the Foot.
