Rudder Bracket (Necky OK OT)

Best used as a replacement rudder bracket for Necky, Old Town and Ocean Kayaks brand boats (Johnson Watercraft), circa 2004-2005 to date. This bracket has six holes, .75 inches side to side, 1.5 inches top to bottom holes, all on center + two down the center. Bracket is 3 3/6 inches in total height (OD), and 3 inches ID. Also called a rudder gudgeon, it is compatible only with a rudder body from Johnson Watercraft. Brackets from Ocean Kayak New Zealand are very similar, but slightly different in the screw hole spacing, however all are easy to modify. Older Necky kayaks are outfitted with a discontinued bracket that is same/similar to that enclosed in the Smart Track Rear Mount Housing.

Please Note that the most recent bracket, 01.1315.0607, shown to the left, is no longer black in color, now have two extra holes but otherwise exactly the same as the original shown to the right (Old Part number 07.2689.0000). Some gentle sanding of the Rudder Pivot may be required to fit it into the Bracket.
