Wilderness Systems Rudder Kit, Tandem, Mid Pin

Called the Wilderness Systems Tarpon 135T Rudder Kit, this kit takes the place of the Wilderness Systems Large and Tandem Kayak Rudder Kit (SOT) and all other older WS two-man rudder kits.

This rudder pin size has been mis-named as short pin by the Confluence marketing department when it should be named Mid Pin, but mounts as a Bayonet Pin on some models. See the Industy Standard Pin Size Guide Video for a better understanding. Maybe Dual Pin should be the name.

This kit can be used for nearly any two-man flat stern kayak, both sit-in or sit-on. Comes with a Mid-Pin style rudder assembly. The over size rudder blade has a foil-shape for more efficiency and less drag in the water. A rudder will increase control and efficiency in wind and current. This Wilderness Systems Rudder Kit is the same parts used in the factory rudder on modern Wilderness Systems tandem kayaks. This kit will address the Wilderness Systems Tarpon 135T sit-on-top kayak. This kit comes with Keepers XL Foot Braces, Spectra Cord, Rudder Bracket, instructions and all the parts needed for that installation. Compatible with most Wilderness Systems tandem kayaks but addresses the Tarpon 135T sit-on-top two-man kayak specifically. This kit comes with a rudder assembly that is compatible with the Polaris 180T sit-in-side two-man kayak.

NOTE: To install a rudder system on dual paddling position, solo center seat, recreational tandems (such as Pamlico 145 or 160) the 8070028 Supplemental Kit will be needed to complete installation.
